Gambia River Excursions: Tours and Trips On The
Gambia River
We offer several river cruising excursions ranging from
half-day Dolphin spotting tours around the estuary of the
River Gambia to longer trips of between one and four days.
The short half-day and full day trips are mostly carried
out by modern private yachts converted for tourism purposes.
The longer river cruises are carried out by exotic Gambian pirogues
fitted with powerful outboard motors. On these pirogues,
passengers sleep on foam mattresses on the sundeck.
Most of these trips include a four-wheel component either
for logistical reasons or to take tourists to places of
interest distant from the river.
These trips provide an excellent opportunity to see life
along the banks of the great River Gambia, which is one
of the most navigable in Africa.
Meet the Gambian people in their traditional environment and learn
